Don't know where to start? Here are a few questions you need to ask yourself:
1. How often do you change your workstations or floor plans? Are you able to change as often as you want to? What problems do you run into?
If you change your furniture arrangement often it's a good idea to put your furniture on casters for easy mobility. Electrically powered tables such as the ErgoStat, WorkTable and Table Base need a power connection so keep that in mind when rearranging. Ultra Frames are connected by Panel Connectors and Connector Posts. Changing the configuration may require additional parts.
2. Are you experiencing any damage or problems due to static electricity?
We have a wide range of solutions for static electricity problems. Our workstations are designed and tested to meet current standards for ESD (Electrostatic Discharge) control. This static controlled surface includes an integral wrist strap attachment block. We also offer Ground Chains and Balls for workstations on casters, and Cable Kits for frame-to-frame grounding.
3. Do you adjust the workplace to meet the personal dimensions and work habits of the various workers?
The ErgoStat, Table Base and WorkTable all have the option of an electrically height adjustable base which allows the employee to customize their workstation to their needs.
4. What do you do to control or protect all the lines associated with air and vacuum? How do you control the wires and cables used for energy and communication?
Multiple function workspaces are easy to configure and manage. Vacuum lines, utility outlets with quick disconnects, and electrical outlet modules are integrated with components to facilitate installation and ensure compatibility.
We offer two types of amperage in our plug strips, 15 and 20 amp. Each strip includes NEMA configuration 5-15R / 5-20R black simplex receptacles and a 5-15P / 5-20P plug. Plugs strips come in 24, 30, 36, 48, 60 and 72 inch widths and can mount horizontally or vertically to frames. One threaded insert located on each end of the Plug Strip accommodates the grounding of dissipative workstation components. 15 and 20 Amp Plug Strips are UL listed.
Utility Distributors provide pre-wired electrical distribution throughout workstations with air and voice/data networking capabilities within a single chase. Eight-wire systems distribute up to three 20 Amp circuits using 15 Amp receptacles. Double-sided systems provide power on both sides of the units. Distributors each provide a top cable management channel with cover and two Avaya M13C Modular Furniture 3 Port Faceplates for voice and data outlets.
5. In making new equipment decisions, what are the key ergonomic considerations? What kinds of ergonomic complaints or suggestions do you hear?
The ErgoStat, TableBase and Work Table all have the optional UL Listed electric height adjustable base which adjusts 15" to give a height range of 26.5" to 41.5" with the push of a button.
